Antara Nandy shot to fames when she entered amongst the top three girls in the final rounds in the Singing reality show "SA RE GA MA PA LITTLE CHAMPS" on ZEE TV, thumping thousands of contestants throughout the country.
She won the international singers award in the contest "STAR WARS" by DREAM CATHERS VISION 2012 Singapore.
She won the YOUNG ACHIEVER AWARD in March 2014 from Integrated Council for Socio-Economic Progress.
She was nominated in the best female vocalist category in 2013 for her song “NAZANU” by Ramdhenu Music Awards.
Her first composition "Ya Devi - celebrating womanhood" won the best best music in the "Delhi Shorts International Film Festival" and best Jury award in the "Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival - 2015"
She also sung in the song “AAWAZ” by Eastern Fare Music Foundation, Bangalore. This song won a lot of awards including the Mumbai shorts film festival, Noida festival and also in USA in 2013/14.
Her debut regional music album “Ei Jibon Nohoy Xuna Bondhu” (this is not life my friend) was released in 2010. The album was an instant hit and her work has been appreciated by music connoisseurs. The title song “Ei Jibon Nohoi” sung by Antara was regarded as on of the best contemporary Assamese modern songs as voiced by various critics. The other songs in this album was sung by Ms. Alka Yagnik, Ms. Kavita Krishnamurty, Mr. Pulak Banerjee and Mr. Debojeet Saha.
She sang the title song "Nixati Joto Ronge" for the film KHEL and a few more are in pipeline.
Her second album in Bengali “Eso Matoh Lakkhi Devi” was released in 2013. This album was marketed by Music World which raced up the charts to the TOP 4 album within 3 weeks of its release. This album caters to the Bengali tradition of weekly Lakkhi Puja in every household.
She performed her first classical performance at the prestigious Durbar hall at the age of 8 years. She is the winner of the various Inter School awards both in Kolkata and Nationally since 2008 till 2015.
Her potential for music was spotted at a very early age of 4 years and she was put under training. At the age of 5 years she started her serious formal training under the guidance of the Maestro, Padmashree Ustaad Raashid Khan.
Currently she is a scholar of ITC Sangeet Research Academy under Ustaad Wasim Ahmed Khan for Hindustani Classical Vocals and also a Scholar at KM of the Legend AR Rahman for Western Classical Vocals. She is also a CCRT (Centre for Cultural Talent Research by Government of India) Scholar.
Antara originally from Guwahati was born in Sivasagar district of Assam and started her education from “Budding Buds Sr. Secondary School” at Tinsukia district of Assam before moving to Kolkata. She is now a student of “Delhi Public School – Ruby Park, Kolkata”.
She was given the title ALBELI by the great Kavita Krishnamurty in 2009 and since then Antara is more popularly as ALBELI ANTARA.
She have performed at various shows and events both nationally and internationally and Film awards, captivating audience, she has also sung for a number of Bengali TV Serials and Assamese projects. She was also done some endorsements and was the brand ambassador for SIP Academy India.
She has released many songs digitally thru her Youtube Channel named "Antara Nandy" which is managed by the leading Digital content distribution company "QYUKI" owned by Mr. Sameer Bangara, Mr. AR Rahman and Mr. Sekhar Kapur.
Antara along with her sister Ankita did a few "CUP songs- Humma Humma" and "Duma Dum Mast Kalandar" followed by "Clap Songs - Pinga" which went viral on social media and covered by many press and Tv media in India and also across the globe.
